Senior PR Consultant

Katja Kleinau is a very professional PR consultant with broad experience in different industries.

Katja has been working for Industrie-Contact since 2001. Her strengths are classic PR and Live Communication. She loves to dive into new topics and industries and is able to build up very quickly new media contacts. She has multiple client experiences as with Hansaplast and ABC, TePe, Kalkhoff, Areo / Rivolta, Utsch, Kroschke / DAD or Warema. Her priority is to live up with the client’s expectations but as a good consultant she is not shy away from helping clients to avoid making mistakes in communications. Thus, good consultancy also means sometimes, to disagree what the client wants if they are better paths to go. She takes care of the client’s objectives when developing concepts and executing the activities while having always an eye on keeping in line with the budget. Beside this, she looks always for new input, e.g. at marketing congresses or specific trade shows.

Multiple experiences and the lust for more

Katja joined Industrie-Contact in 2001. After studying economics her first professional milestone was working at EXPO 2000 in Hanover. She started in PR with a traineeship at Industrie-Contact. Her first client projects followed in the industries of architecture, housing technology, technology and manufacturing. After a short interlude of live communication on fuel cell technology for the agency Arno A. Evers Fair-PR Katja took over the responsibility for Industrie-Contact clients of different industries like car, health and beauty. What she also would love to do in the future is working for clients offering renewable energy solutions, ecological building materials or smart home technologies.

From blue overall to evening dress

Katja’s enthusiasm for PR topics in the field of housing technology and architecture has a reason why. In her leisure time she renovates her old farmhouse. Cast the foundation slab, renew foundation beams, relocate the timber framework, work with classic building material like clay, or boarding the floor … . The complete planning of the renovation and the steering of different crafts is a pleasure for her. She even takes the sledgehammer or paintbrush in her hand to do what is to do. But if time permits she puts off the blue overall and puts on the evening dress to cook and celebrate with friends.
