Paulinchen e.V.

Initiative for children with burn injuries

Paulinchen advises and accompanies families with burn-injured children in every phase after the accident. The aim is to achieve the best possible care for each burn-injured child individually and to preventively point out causes of accidents.

Paulinchen e.V. was founded in 1993 to advise families after burn and scald accidents involving their children, to help with problems during the rehabilitation period and to draw preventive attention to the causes of accidents.

The founders of the non-profit organization are Dr. Gabriela Scheler and Adelheid Gottwald. They experienced that their children only came into the treatment of specialized doctors by chance. Based on this experience, they founded Paulinchen e.V. so that families with children who have suffered burn injuries have a contact point in every phase after the accident.

The association works nationwide and is recognized by the tax office as a non-profit organization.

Paulinchen e.V. is the organizer of the annual “Day of the Burn Injured Child”.
