Chairman of the supervisory board (1999 – 2008)

Member of the German Federal Parliament (Deutscher Bundestag) from 1976 to 1998.

Klaus Francke, a Protestant believer, completed post-high school an apprenticeship in wholesale and foreign trade in 1958. Since 1958 he worked as a clerk in the petroleum industry. Since 1971 he has been a speaker at Deutsche BP in Hamburg.

He was president of the German-Romanian Society for Northern Germany, Deputy Chairman of the German-Bulgarian forum and also chairman of the board of Industry-Contact (1999 to 2008).
